  1. We should always honor those who step up and do what is necessary, defending those around us. He demonstrated what true heroism is.

  2. I was genuinely surprised when I saw his photo. But on reflection and thinking back over the men that I have known over my life, it makes sense. What counts is what we do with the time that we are here, not how long we are here.

    • As I explained in the video on martial arts, you can’t predict who will be a hero.
      Men’s hearts and souls are not visible to the human eye.

      • Audie Murphy was too small to join the military. Got rejected by Marines, Navy, and Army. Finally convinced Army to take him, and the dude became the most decorated American soldier of WWII. Yep, you just never know.
