Send the Dreamers home

Their nations need them:

STOCKHOLM (AFP) – The Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama*, said Wednesday that “Europe belongs to the Europeans” and that refugees should return to their native countries to rebuild them…
“Receive [refugees], help them, educate them… but ultimately they should develop their own country,” said the 83-year-old Tibetan who fled the capital Lhasa in fear of his life after China poured troops into the region to crush an uprising.
“I think Europe belongs to the Europeans,” he said, adding they should make clear to refugees that “they ultimately should rebuild their own country”.

America would ultimately save itself a ton of trouble if we would take this advice to heart. There is simply nothing good that will accrue to America by establishing permanent Somali colonies in Minnesota and Maine, Iraqi colonies in Michigan, or Mexican colonies in California, no matter the state of their nations. But worse things accrue to those nations when we keep the colonists here.
Young doctors flee Haiti at an alarming rate. While it’s hard to blame them, it’s also hard to justify allowing them to work here. America has far less need of Haitian doctors than Haiti has of them. Help the Haitians and educate them, yes. But then send them back. Their people need them.

Diversity is their strength.

When Trump said of Mexico, “They’re not sending their best,” howls of moonbat outrage ensued. Sure, most of it was that reflexive sort of outrage that the left always levels at Trump’s pronouncements, however obvious or mundane. But there are a significant number of people who argue that Mexico and Haiti and other shithole countries truly are sending us their best. And they take pride in taking the best that those nations have to offer. But it never occurs to them the damage they are doing those countries by taking away their best people.
Think of Mexico as a baseball team with a single rival team. That rival team is much richer than Team Mexico and makes a habit of signing away, for money Team Mexico could never match, every promising player that Team Mexico develops. How likely is Team Mexico to be able to compete?  Not likely at all. Team Mexico will be populated with the talentless and will suffer, while Team America may be** marginally improved.
We have an estimated 800,000 or more “Dreamers” in America, children of (mostly) Central and South American illegal aliens, brought to America as children. They have been raised in America, educated in America, trained in America. They may actually be Mexico’s best, if we assume that such an upbringing is better than the average Mexican receives.
Which is all the more reason they need to go back. Like Haitian doctors whose own people need them, these Salvadoran engineers, Mexican rocket scientists, and Venezuelan macroeconomists will do far more marginal good for their nations, and for the world, than they will being just another professional here.
For the good of America, non-American colonists must leave. But for the good of their own nations even more, they have to go back.
* Big hitter, the Lama. Long.
** It’s not a sure thing, because there’s no guarantee the players they’ve signed can start for Team America.
