Writing

I ate a slice of

a pineapple grenade.

It broke my teeth

and cut my throat

and shredded my insides

and then I ate another,

and another still

until all was left

was smokeless powder

and fuse.

I chased it down

with nitroglycerin

then

jumped for joy

on a trampoline.
