Confusion Sown

I see a lot of millstones in the Beeb’s future:

A BBC programme aimed at 9- to 12-year-olds includes the astonishing claim that there are ‘over 100 gender identities’.

The film, ‘Identity – Understanding Sexual and Gender Identities’, is being offered on the corporation’s website as part of its relationships and sex education package…

The programme, which features children asking adults about sexuality and gender on behalf of their peers, suggests the different identities include ‘bi-gender’, ‘gender-queer’ and ‘pansexual’.

The film also tells children that becoming transgender is a way to be ‘happy’ while making no mention of the growing legal and medical concerns about the rising number of children saying they want to change gender.

Yes, the idea that there are over 100 different “gender identities”* is insane. It’s also an evil being pointed at your children by the Father of Lies. Nine to twelve-year-olds are second to sixth graders. Elementary school children. And while they are in the midst of learning that maybe the boys are not all stinky and the girls don’t all have cooties, in steps their authority figure to tell them there are not just boys and girls, but two-spirits, neutroses, and an hundred other options to deal with.

It is the purposeful sowing of confusion into minds that are just coming to understand the world, and it is designed to destroy any connection between feelings and objective truth. If you feel like a girl, you’re a girl**, regardless of what your body looks like. If you feel like a gender-fluid androgyne, no one can say different.

Well, Christ says different:

[A]t the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’
— Mark 10:6-8

And we have to decide for ourselves and our families whether we are going to believe God or believe the experts. Most of us, I expect, do believe God and teach this truth to our children. At least in this obvious case, we see through the deception and have a plan to steel ourselves and our families against it.

But I’d like to leave you with a question today. It’s a question that only you can answer. And it’s a question that you must answer if you’re going to protect those under your authority from the rampant spirit of deception that flows through the West today:

Is there anywhere in your own life where you believe the experts rather than God?

** Of course, such self-referential definitions eliminate the possibility that there is any objective thing as a “girl” to feel like.
