Anatomy of a Leftist: Dishonesty

Leftists are liars. This should not be news to you. Whether it is concealing the murderous history of communism, or calling those on the right Nazis, or accusing a rapist, or denying a rape; leftists lie. The Father of Lies may have invented lying, but the Democrats perfected it.
If you are over the age of 35, you remember Bill Clinton lying to the nation about his affair with an intern. You should be familiar with the pattern. First is an adamant denial:

“I want you to listen to me. I’m going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.”

This will continue, hoping to gaslight the public.  Then, when the stained blue dress proves the allegations, the next step is to downplay it. “It was just sex”. The focus is shifted subtly.  The public is directed away from the president lying in court about an extramarital affair in order to deny another woman her day in court to someone just getting their rocks off. It’s 1998 after all. People do it all the time. The object is to drag it out, make the public sick of it so that they wish it would just go away. All the while attacking those on the right for abusing the poor president. It worked. The president committed perjury and got away with it.
You saw the same pattern again, with Hillary and the Benghazi incident, and with her private email server.

“Everything I did was permitted. There was no law. There was no regulation. There was nothing that did not give me the full authority to decide how I was going to communicate. Previous secretaries of state have said they did the same thing…. Everything I did was permitted by law and regulation. I had one device. When I mailed anybody in the government, it would go into the government system.”

You can see the pattern: Clinton’s responses to the question, made during her presidential campaign, have evolved over time. Clinton initially said that there was no classified material on her server. Later, after a government review discovered some of her emails contained classified information, she said she never sent or received information that was marked classified. Her campaign also said that other emails contained information that is now classified, but was retroactively classified by U.S. intelligence agencies after Clinton had received the material.
She later claimed they were just hassling her because she was running for president. Probably true, but they had a legitimate crime. She has yet to be charged.
Leftists lie. It one of the lessons one must learn in order to function in life. Leftist politicians will lie. Leftist voters go two ways. There are the stupid ones that believe the lies. There are the evil ones, that understand the leftist politician is lying, and will support the lie. They don’t understand dialectic because they don’t recognize truth. The truth, to a leftist, is whatever narrative serves their goals.
It happens at every level and even with those who are supposed to hold the truth sacred. CNN, just got caught with more fake news. They reported in July that Michael Cohen intended to tell Special Counsel Robert Mueller that he was present when Donald Trump was told in advance about his son’s Trump Tower meeting with various Russians. They claimed that Lanny Davis, who is Michael Cohen’s lawyer, didn’t comment on their story. They simultaneously used him as an unnamed source. After he admitted that he lied about the whole thing, they haven’t retracted the story.

“Multiple reliable sources”

Understand this:  If a leftist is speaking about anything of importance, you had better fact check him.
