When Has This Ever Been A Good Idea?

Dem Hopeful Amy Klobuchar has an answer to those concerned about the “Browning of America”:
Transcript of the 12/19 Democrats debate (via Washington Post):

MODERATOR: Senator Klobuchar, here in California, people who identify as Hispanic, black, Asian or multiracial represent a majority of the population, outnumbering white residents. The United States is expected to be majority nonwhite within a generation. What do you say to white Americans who are uncomfortable with the idea of becoming a racial minority, even if you don’t share their concerns?
AMY KLOBUCHAR: I say this is America. You’re looking at it. And we are not going to be able to succeed in the world if we do not invite everyone to be part of our economy.

Her answer is twofold.  The first part that America is not a nation but an economy and that America’s success is measured by our collective busy-ness as measured by the Department of Labor. More people equal a bigger economy, and therein lies “our” greatness.
But the second part is even more telling: Too bad. Don’t like it? Too bad. We are not interested in your concerns, which are by definition racist. You’re being replaced. Too bad. You’re looking at it.

Asking is racist

Now for those given to the cult of Multiculturalism, there is no thought about whether the Browning of America is good or bad. It’s good. For many minorities, it’s good because they expect to finally get their spot at the top. For others, it’s good because the breaking up of nations is itself a good – nationalism is in their opinion a source of war. You will never see anyone, especially in a Democratic debate, wonder aloud if there just might be a downside to replacing one native people with another. You will never see them asked if this feat has been pulled off peacefully before.
That’s because they are historically-illiterate idiots.
Has replacing one people with another ever happened peacefully in history? I would argue that it has not. Whether one is talking about the Roman Empire or the creation of the new Soviet Man, the ramming of many peoples under one government never causes them to become a single people; it causes resentment and war and genocide and all the things the left thinks it can avoid through imposed multiculturalism.
It happened in Jerusalem in 68 AD it happened in Yugoslavia in 1998 AD. It happened everywhere in between that many peoples were forced to live under a single government, especially a government that was run by an ethnic rival. Either a people tries to secede, or it tries to gain power, or it tries to kill off its competitors. The closer the groups are in relative power, the nastier and more prolonged the fight is.
None of these options are conducive to Amy Klobuchar’s beloved ever-growing economy. None of them are conducive to a peaceful life. All of them are coming here, like they came to Zimbabwe thirty years ago, like they are raging across South Africa today. When the outs get their ins, the post-transition nation is a new one. The old one is gone. The transition is the stuff of history books.
Americans built a special nation. That no politician is willing to preserve its original people means America’s fate will follow the fates of all other nations whose politicians have acted similarly.
I pray that we can solve this peacefully. Even so, be prepared.
